This year’s theme, “A Festival of Bells,” will honor the centenary of the carillon bells at the Cape Town City Hall and the 125th anniversary of the building itself. It’s a momentous occasion that music lovers won’t want to miss!

An Unforgettable Musical Experience

From the moment you arrive, you’ll be greeted by the majestic sounds of the carillon bells, ringing just as they did for the first time on 30 April 1925. As tradition holds, the evening will be filled with lively orchestral performances, massed choirs, and interactive audience participation, making it a night of pure musical delight.

The Cape Town Proms Orchestra and mass choirs will be led by the charismatic Richard Cock, who never fails to engage the audience with his wit, warmth, and world-class conducting.

Adding to the magic, the event will feature:
🎺 The Cape Town Highlanders Pipers, bringing their bold, stirring melodies.
💃 Celtic dancers from Ramsay Dance Studio, adding rhythm and movement.
🎤 Soprano Erin Beck, whose powerful voice will enchant the audience.

And, of course, you – the audience – are encouraged to bring your own bells and join in on the fun!
